Mental health matters..

Sometimes it's easy to put ourselves last and focus on everything and everyone else but it's important to put yourself first sometimes and do things that help you. If you've followed me for a while you'll know I'm very open about my own mental health struggles and I feel no shame talking openly about my depression and anxiety. It is very much a part of my life but it does not define who I am. My battle has been a long one and it's taken a lot of work to get to where I am today but here I am. If you've ever struggled you'll know some days are more difficult than others and that's okay. No two days will every be the same and you can never predict how you may feel from one day to the next. Living with a mental illness for me means accepting this, accepting I do not know how I will feel tomorrow or the next day and so on. I cannot spend time worrying about if I'll be low or anxious in a few days or weeks time. I can only focus on the now and how I feel in this moment. This helps me massively.
